I didn't let the silver sit on the dark. I moved it through.
I broke liquid silver metallic threads across a deep black ground, forming a lacework of veins, cells, and fractures that read like mineral pulled from rock. I concentrated a dense silver bloom in the lower right and let it dissipate into the upper field, so the eye travels diagonally across the surface. I didn't let the metallic sit flat, it catches light from every angle, turning the painting reflective by day and almost luminous under lamplight. Cool, quiet, and architectural.
