I let crimson open like a flower against bare white, veined with gold and slate. A small square with a lot of pull.
Crimson Veil is a 12"x12" original acrylic pour, and I let it open like a bloom across a clean white ground. Deep crimson and magenta form the petals, radiating from a bright center, while I threaded ribbons of gold and cool slate-gray through the folds to pull warmth and shadow into the same gesture. I kept the white around the bloom open so the color has room to breathe, which keeps the piece light and graphic rather than heavy. At 12"x12" it works on its own as a small focal point or grouped with other squares in a cluster.
