Silver Vein

I cut a silver river of pour diagonally across a deep black field, fracturing into dense cellular lace as it moves. I held two forces at once, the controlled mass of the dark surround and the explosive, fluid burst of metallic white that refuses to stay contained. The detail along the central spine rewards close viewing. Bubbles, lacing, and pour rivulets form a second composition that only reveals itself up close. From across the room, it reads as raw contrast and motion. Step closer and the metallic shimmer catches the light differently from every angle. This is a monochrome study in maximum contrast. No color, no compromise. Just the relationship between dark and bright, mass and movement, structure and rupture. I built real texture into the surface, not flat, not resin-smooth. The metallic finish through the silver spine shifts with light and time of day, giving the piece a different presence from morning to evening. At 24x36, it commands a focal wall on its own. I designed it for spaces that want one bold statement, not several quieter ones. The diagonal composition reads strong in both horizontal and vertical hangings, collector's choice.
